TURISAS Confirmed For UK's BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR Festival

Finnish folk metal overlords TURISAS have been confirmed for next year's Bloodstock Open Air festival, set to take place August 14-16, 2009 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, England.

The festival billing is now shaping up as follows:

Tickets went on sale on September 1 at this year's price of £85.00. As of December 15, the ticket prices will be increasing. The organizers state, "We have decided, as always, for our fans loyalty to offer the early-bird ticket prices for a limited time. This will give you the chance to get next year's tickets at this year's prices!"

TURISAS recently released a video trailer for its first-ever DVD, "A Finnish Summer With Turisas". Watch it below.

In the summer of 2008, TURISAS set out to play more shows across its home country Finland than ever before. With "A Finnish Summer With Turisas", you can join them on their road trip, learn the secrets of sauna and other Finnish traditions on the nights when the sun never sets. Travel from festival to festival and go behind the scenes to find out what makes TURISAS a one-of-a-kind blend of music, traditions, fur, blood and fun.

"A Finnish Summer With Turisas" will be world-premiered on November 1 at the Ultima Ratio Festival in Oberhausen, Germany. The DVD will be shown during change-over in a separate room, so you can get the full Finnish flavor on a really big screen!

Spain, Portugal: Tuesday, November 4
